Uptown covers the four wards inside the I-277 loop. First Ward has the Hornets and the light rail. Second Ward has the government buildings and what was once the Brooklyn neighborhood. Third Ward has the Panthers, Charlotte FC and the Knights at Truist Field. Fourth Ward still has some of the oldest single-family homes inside the loop, plus Fourth Ward Park.

Getting to You in Uptown

Uptown is inside the I-277 loop, which makes it quick to reach from any direction. We come in from I-77 via the Brookshire or Belk Freeway, or up South Boulevard from the south side.

If you are in a parking deck, give us the deck name and the level. If you are on the street, give us the nearest intersection — Trade and Tryon is the center point, and everything in Uptown is measured from there.
